Sand-molecular 3D printing directly drives the formation of layers of sand and sand cores by digital modeling, transforming the process of “model-forming” in traditional casting into a more flexible digital manufacturing method.

It can be made on the basis of CAD data without first manufacturing wood, metal or complex core boxesLarge sand, complex sand cores, foreign inner cavities, thin wall structures and small tubeways, especially for single pieces, small batches, multiple varieties and casting projects in the continuous design iterative phase.

For parts with complex structures, traditional processing difficulties, long production lead cycles or higher-cost moulds, sand 3D printing can provide new manufacturing pathways. In particular, the reference technical material includes as one of its core competencies the “high-precision integrated formation of complex structures such as large, thin walls and small pipes”.

SLS Dum Sand Printing

Dust sands are layered through ** Selective Laser Sintering** techniques and can be used in the manufacture of complex castings that require higher sand structure, strength, size precision and surface mass.

Combined with digital models, complex curves, thin walls and fine internal structures can be created to provide more flexible sand manufacturing capabilities for difficult casting projects. SLS sand structure, strength, accuracy and surface quality are listed as important advantages of the technology route.
